We are currently seeking Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE Level B) Technicians / Utility Locators to work in support of large-scale infrastructure projects throughout the United States. As our SUE Technician, you will help perform subsurface utility location and should be able to effectively operate ground penetrating radar (GPR) systems and radio-frequency electromagnetic pipe and cable locators. The candidate should also possess the desire to accept additional responsibilities and support a variety of projects in various capacities.

- Developing and maintaining the client relationship, assigning and directing the project team, project communications within the company and to outside stakeholders, controlling project performance, developing new work, and collecting a/r's.
- Coordinating with state and local municipalities to obtain proper certifications and permits for work in their jurisdictions.
- Training of survey technicians in the theory of surveying and practical application of methods.Coordinating with other managers on weekly scheduling.
- Providing oversight and monitoring surveying activities to ensure assignments meet performance goals.
- Recruit, hire, manage, mentor, and retain staff necessary to maintain and/or improve the ability to produce a quality work product.

requirements

- At a minimum, 2 years of experience in Survey Project Management is preferred
- Understand financial metrics and able to perform monthly pre-bill reconciliation and help accounting with monthly billing
- Manage sub-consultants
- Experience in supervising multiple Survey crews.
- Must be willing to perform business development in order to generate new work.
- Must have good written and verbal communication skills, good negotiation skills, and good engineering technical skills.
- Must be results-oriented, decisive, take charge, persuasive, adapt to change, sense of urgency, self-directed, self-reliant, and understand the big picture

As our Survey Instrument Person, you are responsible for operating conventional surveying equipment and for the efficient and effective collection of survey data to be utilized in the preparation of plans and reports. This position requires the application of standard field techniques in carrying out a sequence of related measurement tasks. Exercise of judgment is required on details of work and in making preliminary selections and adaptations of alternatives.

- Operating conventional surveying equipment including but not limited to: Total Stations, Levels, Data Collectors, etc.
- Executes specific, field-related assignments using prescribed methods as requested by a Survey Crew Chief.
- Applies standard practices and techniques in specific situations, collects data, keeps proper notes, recognizes discrepancies in results, and follows operations through a series of related detailed steps or processes.
- Maintaining organization and cleanliness of the survey equipment, the equipment room, and all survey vehicles.
- Notifying the project supervisor of the status of supplies that may be running low.
- Supervisor or Survey Technician III screens assignments for unusual or difficult problems and selects techniques and procedures to be applied on non-routine work.
- Receives supervision on new aspects of assignments

- Evaluate that all field survey tasks have been completed in accordance with client and project requirements
- Verify accuracy and completeness of field data against a strict quality assurance and quality control program
